Review: Blood from a Stone

Blood from a Stone Blood from a Stone by David James Warren
My rating: 💛💛💛💛💛

Our job in life, Rem is just to stand firm on what we believe in. Because we are only accountable to the men we are called to be.

Another great installment to this series. In this book, I felt Rem's inner conflict to try and fix what he changed, to save the lives of the people he loves and to protect those he was called to serve.

I loved the way the author keeps the reader in the dark along with Rem. This made this reader feel more connected to Rem and his struggles to do the right thing without changing more of his future. The author also threw in a few twists and turns not expected in this installment.

I love the honesty and vulnerability only the reader gets to see through this journey with Rem.

It's brutal to hear your own screams, the rending of your soul. Even in the padding of the rain, and night, I'm shaken through, and I'm unashamed of my grief.

Looking forward to the final book in this series. There is so much I want to be returned to Rem, and so much new things I don't want to change, and I have a feeling we won't be able to get everything we want!
