This novella flowed well and at the end it felt like I have read a complete story. I think the fact that the story played out over 2 years added to that full bodied feeling.
The author well described the military action and danger. For me sometimes a bit too well because most of the terms went over my head. But it could also be that my brain could was not alert enough to take in all the data.
There was one twist which was unexpected, so I am looking forward to what other twist the author will bring in the series.
A great introduction to the characters who we will get to know in this series.
