This was a
great historical series, each book focused on a group of orphans and their
journey in life.
Book one
should be read first, since the second book follows years after book one
finished. I did find book one stronger
but did enjoy both books.
I enjoyed
how this series focused on the good and bad of what can happen to orphans and
their journey in life. Some of their
journeys went on more happier routes than others, but each character found a
place in my heart. Especially Petey, who
was a boy in book one and grown up in book two,

Sawyer delivers emotionally strong stories with the main focus on Christ, which
I love and enjoy.
