Book Spotlight Fridays! Crossfire

Book Beginnings and Friday56

Book Beginnings is a weekly meme hosted by Rose City Reader that asks you to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you're reading. Friday 56 is hosted by Freda's Voice and asks you to grab a book (any book), turn to page 56 or 56% in your e-reader and share a non-spoiler sentence or two.  First Line Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Reading is my Superpower that asks you to share the first sentence of the book you're reading.

I was so excited when I made the launch team for this one!  The book will be released August 2022 and currently there is a pre-order deal going, so grab it if you want the book on publishing day!

Crossfire

About the book:

"FBI negotiator Julianna James has never lost a hostage-until now. As the death toll rises and the killer's motive becomes clear, Julianna knows anyone she loves will caught in the crossfire. It will take all her courage, and the help of Former Army Ranger Clay Fox, to bring this negotiation to an end"

Book Beginnings

FBI Special Agent Julianna Jameson glanced at the alert on her phone.

Friday 56

A connection with two different hostage takers?  Well, obviously Julianna was the connection.  Right?

My thoughts so far

30% in and enjoying this one.  But I didn't expect any less from Lynette Eason.
