Join in the Top Ten Tuesday fun! Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
So this looks like an easy topic. Choose a theme and select top ten quotes to fit that theme. Well, until I looked at all my quotes and there is so many quotes out there! Choices are endless...
So, the theme I ended up going with was Our past/mistakes from our past. We all have them and sometimes we are hard on ourselves and don't let go. So here is some quotes which has spoken to me through the years:
everyone has different challenges, different needs and strengths. Choices have consequences, but I now think that, even in the pits and traps, the Lord can make a way through.
Let the past be the past.
You shouldn't let something that happened in the past stop you from having something that could be great in the present.
So could it be that good can come out of suffering? That God uses it to build things into us? Things we might need?
Suffering can either destroy you or it can save you. Because without suffering, we don't need more; we have enough. But when we suffer, we can't help but reach out.
I am amazed by how many individuals mess up every new day with yesterday.
7. From the book: Pearl in the sand
A woman needs to feel safe in love. She needs to know her husband accepts everything about her and still loves her. To be known through and through, including the failures of her past, the shortcomings of her character, and still be loved, that's the Promised Land of a woman's heart! That's where she finds rest.
God's already let go of your past. He doesn't remember it. He doesn't count it against you. Now it's time for you to let go too.
Maybe that was the key-just because she'd made a mistake with her life didn't mean that God did, and it hopefully didn't change the way God saw her.
Our mistakes, our tragedies, our suffering make us better, stronger, more compassionate people.
I love the way you interpreted the theme. It was unique, meaningful, and a great reminder!

Thank you :-)
DeleteExcellent theme for your quotes. I especially like this one: "So could it be that good can come out of suffering? That God uses it to build things into us? Things we might need?" It does seem to be the only way we grow into who we need to be.
