Join in the Top Ten Tuesday fun! Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
I love animals. And when a book includes a beloved pet which is just there for the characters, it just warms my heart. Here is a few books I've read which immediately came to mind when I saw this topic.
Trained Dolphins who saved the day! Since Dolphins is my favourite animal, I don't really have to say more 😍
The next three I loved because it is about military working dogs and the author did a great job of showing what challenges they also deal with:

5. Beowulf: Explosives Detection Dog
Sometimes, a dog is the only friend who can provide comfort and companionship.
If you enjoy sweet romance, this was a sweet novella with a small doggy creating a few laughs.
And some books I still need to read which includes some animals as important characters:

Books with animals will always be popular, I think.
