Review: Death Triangle

Death Triangle Death Triangle by Lisa Harris
My rating: 💛💛💛💛

Typically, the motive behind the initial bioterrorist attack isn’t to rack up a lot of fatalities.” “What is the motive?” “To raise public anxiety,” she said. “It’s a method of control.”

There were times during reading this book where I felt like, mmm - I'm over all this virus stuff, and then other times, this is so applicable and sounds like what happened with Covid.

With refugees, militias, Russians and viruses, the thrilling action is never ending.

There was a light love triangle, and I wanted both to end up with the girl, which is clearly not possible, but actually wanted the underdog to win, but then totally get why the author went the other route. But I do hope we get to see the underdog in a future book with his own happy ending.

The person behind everything was surprising and not expected.

The authors brought together all of the character we have met since the start in Book one in this final installment.

This is a series which should be read in order, but the 3rd installment can actually be read before book 2.

*I read this on Kindle Unlimited.*

About the book:

No one suspects that the deadly pharmaceutical and viral disasters ravaging the African continent have been the fallout from one person’s intent to acquire immortality.

Not until two pregnant teenagers escape their captors and stumble into an African refugee camp.

When one of the escapees suffers a strange and bloody death, Dr. Rachel Allen, an infectious disease specialist aboard a humanitarian medical ship ported on the Central African coast is summoned to the Congo. Despite the danger, Rachel answers the plea of the refugee camp’s only doctor and leaves her post. But by the time she discovers the ancient virus she believed securely held in an American vault has been weaponized, it is too late to call for help. If this new potential bioweapon is launched beyond the borders of Africa, it will destroy more than the world. It will destroy everything she believes to be true about the man she loved.

Buckle in.

About the authors:

LISA HARRIS is a Christy Award finalist for Blood Ransom and Vendetta, Christy Award winner for Dangerous Passage, and the winner of the Best Inspirational Suspense Novel for 2011 (Blood Covenant) and 2015 (Vendetta) from Romantic Times.

She has almost forty novels and novellas in print. She and her family work as missionaries in southern Africa. Lisa loves hanging out with her family, cooking different ethnic dishes, photography, and heading into the African bush on safari. Visit Lisa’s website to learn more.

This girl who grew up on a Kansas dairy farm never wanted to be a writer, but she has always been a

storyteller. Her mother called it "Selling wind in a bag." Lynne started out writing plays and skits. Then in a moment of sheer insanity, she decided to take a stab at writing full-length novels. Reinventing Leona was her first and it is no longer in print. The Carthage Chronicles are her time travel/sci-fi series. The Mt. Hope Southern Adventures series starting with WALKING SHOES and The Women of Fossil Ridge series starting with FLYING FOSSILS are her contemporary romantic comedy series. And GHOST HEART and PORT OF ORIGIN are part of her Agents of Mercy Medical Thriller series.

Lynne can milk a cow, drive a tractor, organize a banquet, prepare a kid for that first professional acting audition, or sit across the table and enjoy a cup of coffee with you.

She loves spending time with her family and medical therapy dog.

  2. "and I wanted both to end up with the girl" Isn't it fun when THAT happens? :) I'm not a fan of love triangles generally but when you're rooting for everyone I guess the author is doing somethin right!

Souns intense with the virus angle!

    1. Yes, the love triangle was luckily not heavy and made more sense if you read the series in order.
