Review: Edge of Dusk

Edge of Dusk Edge of Dusk by Colleen Coble
My rating: 💛💛💛💛

Another great start to what I have come to expect from a Colleen Coble suspense series.

This series was a spin off from Rock Harbor, but almost had the same feel and vibe similar to the Pelican Harbor series. Also, a three book series where small mysteries were solved in the book, but n bigger mystery plot develops throughout the series which ultimately resolved in the final book.

I would suggest reading this series in order.

Annie and Jon had a past which provided readers with more backbone to their relationship. Some choices Annie made when she was young was a bit rushed and didn’t always make sense which impacted her adult life. I am not sure I would have been able to marry someone within a month of breaking up with the Love of my life.

I enjoyed catching up with characters from the Rock Harbor series.

About the book:

Annie Pederson has lived her life in the shadow of tragedy. Her sister was kidnapped off a dock one day while they were playing. Her father never forgave her for failing to stop it—even though she was only eight at the time. Her first love deserted her for an orthopedic residency. She quickly married his best friend and they were happy—until he and her parents were all killed in the same accident.

Now Annie is doing her best to keep all the different parts of her life afloat: her job as a park ranger, where she’s never stopped looking for evidence of her sister’s fate; the Tremolo Inn and Marina, which her parents owned her whole life and she can’t bear to see fail now that they’re gone; and her eight-year-old daughter, Kylie, who’s quickly losing memories of her father.

When Annie’s first love, Jon, returns to town, she tries her best to hide from him—she knows that story only ends in heartbreak—but avoiding him becomes impossible when she finds herself the victim of escalating incidents. Her home is broken into and her belongings riffled through. Her daughter’s things are destroyed. An arson attack consumes a beautiful pavilion her father built. A sniper’s bullet takes out a tire on her car. Why is she being targeted? And what secrets is some unknown enemy so desperate to keep hidden?
